What is a “natural light” photographer?
When I refer to natural light I talk about the sunlight. I do not use any flash and depend totally on lighting available to me.
Natural light is the most flattering light for portraits, in my opinion. When I am busy with a session I will be looking for the best possible light source available to me ether it be in your home or outdoors.
What types of sessions do you photograph?
I photograph maternity, newborn, child and family sessions. I also offer special occasion photography such as birthday parties as well as the famous Cake Smash and Splash and Milk Bath Sessions. “Trash the Dress” sessions are available on request.
Do you edit your images?
All images shown in your gallery are fully edited, including retouching (such as fixing small cuts, bruises and blemishes). RAW (unedited images) are never shown or provided.
How far in advance should I book my session?
Should you require a specific date, please try and book as far in advance as possible.
I only take a few bookings per month and they often get filled up rather quickly.
Newborn sessions are rather unpredictable, so please book once your decision is made keeping in mind that your precious newborn is best photographed anything between 5 and 10 days old.
Are the props available to be used for my session?
Yes, most of the props you see in my portraits are mine and available for you to use at your session. Please advise if there are any props you would like to incorporate and I will make the necessary provisons.
What should we wear and what should i bring along to our session?
Once you have booked and your required deposit confirmation received, I will then send you a PDF file with recommendations as well as details pertaining to your session. This will provide you with more detailed guidance.
I want an outdoor session, but what if the weather doesn’t allow?
I do make provision for such instances. In the case of miserable weather we can reschedule your session to another date and time.
We live in a windy city and sometimes the elements may be unfavourable. I will however let you know well in advance should we need to reschedule your session.
How long will it take for my gallery to be ready for viewing?
You will receive a sneak peek posted on my blog as well as Facebook within 2 weeks days of your session.
Your gallery will be ready within 6 t0 8 weeks from the date of your session. This ETA may be sooner depending on the amount of sessions conducted.
I will contact you either by email or text message and furnish you with a unique username and password which you may share with family and friends.
May I download my images from your gallery?
No, unfortunately not. You may invite your family and friends to view your images in your personal gallery on my website.
Once I have received full payment of your session you may then use your images for places such as Facebook etc.
